Property Rights: Water, Air, Space, the Net and Thoughts

Studying natural resource management, I found that along with the crazy way in which the "Untied" States were begun...property rights and public or common property rights are still up for grab, in a matter of speaking.

Without showing how much I paid attention, or possibly missed the class where the rules were explained: I'll just be content to express my interest in interesting you and everyone in better understanding the relationship between individuals, society, natural resources (water, space, the moon even) and government.

I'd love to learn more and discuss the details of where we are heading with these things. I for one am already tiring of paying for internet which I believe is a public or atleast common property. It's only one's and zero's after all. Did someone already buy those?

Chain of Weak Links, Physical Properties of Life, and the Web We Weave

We weave a web of life, and to me life is intelligence.

"A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link."

Laws of Physics rule our hearts and minds.

Society is a web of chains that we must focus on. The weakest links are those who have been passed over, rejected or left unaffected. We are all teachers as well as students in life. It does not matter how much technology, intelligence, or economic strength our society is capable of. If the weakest link breaks down we have lost our ability to continue one of the best human characteristics: humaness. Being human means we have consideration for our fellow humans, as well as respect and understanding of our surroundings and the implications and ramifications of our actions. So teachers: Turn the world on! Spark the minds and don't force too much order: We naturally gravitate towards the safety and beauty of intelligent order.

So the point to take from this thought is that we, as individuals, must work to help ourselves out of our problems, must work to take care of ourselves. We don't say these things everyday for naught. Put your oxygen mask on first and then breathe. Help others and then you will find a higher level of utility that is not attainable by working alone. Have you not found that the harder you try the more resistance you find?

I pose the problems that society faces can be identified by a few ideas: corruption, fear or hatred of others, greed, and ignorance. Though these may be large factors they are surmountable with tools that we have used for many years. Solutions lay in our brains and hearts, as well as our gut and hands. We have the tools. Let's get to work!

Take care of yourself.
Help yourself.
Help others.

Prophet Vs. Profit: The Case of the Missing Link

What I'm selling is a way of living. I profit by promoting the idea that intelligence manages society. It may be for their profit, but it may be for your profit as well.

What do you say? We have no where to go but up from here. Can you spare a dime? If you work only for money it is your way. If you work for many reasons, that is your way. If you have money work for you be sure to know what it is your work is doing.

Business is only business: It seems as if this is the expression that creates Homo Sappenme's from men and women of pre-industrial, pre-service and pre-agricultural economies.

Business is business. In a "new" world economy, business is capable of again returning from converting people into vehicles for profit back into vehicles for persons. Instead of rejecting the old world economy, embrace it, own it and prophet from it. This is the economy owned by your parents and peers and I don't advocate for diminishing the capability of the free market. However, I do advocate for removal of those business men and women who are justifying the end with the means. It's not personal, it's just business.

This new world economy will be and may be already a place where intelligence, understanding and strength lay in the hands and minds each person participating not in the lawmakers hands nor the hands of those that are already so strong that a simple handshake might make or break a young mans spirit. Firm is plenty!

And something to think about once we exist, in this new world information age economy: While ones thoughts may be invisible at first, the ideas move from place to place radiating and reverberating. Something that we should think about in the old world is that thoughts are powerful and responsibility comes with power.

In the end I leave you with where I begin: To think about a new place is the beginning. Not throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Practice what you preach. Lead by example.

And here I begin with the ideas and thoughts of where I want to go, how I want to get there, and maybe even why.
