I'm so excited. a recap of a meeting that was had on the topic of:
At 3 o'clock I was resting up for my first big meeting of friends to talk about communication and world issues (education, business, non-violent communication, society). I received a phone call from Stephane and Barbara who were already on their way to Art of Living Foundation's meeting on almost the exact same topic: non-violent communication (NVC) but via-breathing and yoga.
Anyway, I considered heading over to this meeting but feeling the need to prepare a little more (clean the bathroom, put away my jackets, wash dishes, you know really get ready :) I opted to just hear how it went when we met up later with the two of them.
First to arrive was our dear friend Kathleen, a yoga instructor who we had met through a similar friend almost two years ago. We considered running to view the lunar eclipse from the roof of her building but as it was a little cloudy and guest were on the way, we stayed and opened some wine. Next to come was my neighbor Dianne. Introductions and astrological signs were read and we began to get into Marshall Rosenberg's teachings and really feel the effects of a full moon (and the wine). Barbara and Stephane came shortly after with another bottle and we all began to talk about NVC much more easily. We talked about Astrology and our relative places in life, who we are and who we are to become. Business models in the "information age" Success of movement towards peaceful communication.
Astronomically and Astrologically speaking Kathleen shared the fact that in 2012 the planets are to line up and this will be an ideal time for cohesiveness in society and the universe for alignment.
We retired from the kitchen with cheese, sweet breads, my computer as wells as wine and water in tow to further discuss definitions of work, comparing some to legalized slavery, individuals backgrounds (Barbara is a physics teacher but has found her interests to be more directed towards peoples relationship with the physical world after having completed her PhD in physics, and how she can contribute to the current culmination of understanding to progress the quality of life for society).

A similar interest in creating a business relationship that can benefit society as well as both parties, or all parties interested. Stephane had posed the really important and fittingly direct question of "what this information age business relationship idea add to the pro quo".
One answer is that information and general knowledge would be facilitated and uninhibited (as I correctly or incorrectly believe it is now) because: there would be no barrier to sharing information. A scale to measure gauge quality and therefore price, at one end pure information (there is plenty so it's free) with a middle section of general knowledge to the most highly sought after, complete understanding. Therefore knowledge would be "marketed" at an appropriate price. As Stephane compared this idea with the current status of consulting, making consulting prices more competitive and more accurately reflecting the abilities of the individual participants and/or their contributions would allow for increase in overall production or advancement of the collective.
Secondly, it would allow all individuals access to "the market" by removing barriers of entry by allowing contracting to be the mode of employment instead of actually doing the job"sell" my expertise and have the owner/other by the needed bundle of goods (including the right persons expertise in installation) to have the correct job done. It is not a middle man but a service of information and knowledge to get to the appropriate end objective. Furthermore it is not just a phone call or a name the owner would pay for, it is the right number.
Stephane noted that this exists in the work place/market today, aptly called consulting and the fact still remains that it is a companies responsibility to decide if the work should be done in-store or out-sourced (consultants). And the decision usually depends on availability and confidence. Note: There is a lack of skilled consultants in the market, driving the price of consulting and hindering the progress of IT in business as well as service, and goods.
For all professors and teachers, spiritual and intellectual:
I compared our understanding of religion/spirituality and science or knowledge through the scientific method. That they both have enough points of understanding that an arc can be drawn to locate the heart of the matter (whether it be in science String Theory or in spirituality God). Those arcs can be layered over each other and then a scientific explanation of God, or a Comprehensive Theory via a spiritual explanation can join science and spirituality. Note: If another proposal is available please come forward because I believe Scientology is attempting to do this. Little do I know about Scientology, I believe with all that is changing there is room for a new religion and new leaders. Although I do not wish to support any organization that has structure imposed from above. Rather new ideas and new organizations should come from the inside thoughts of individuals needs and desires. Environmental stresses (wind, heat, or lack thereof) cannot be misnamed as God! Just because we don't understand something, say why we are here, we contribute it to God's way or God's will. My wife, Melanie, just explained the similarities of successes that the Hezbolah and Scientologist have had: It is because they give in exchange for receiving power and fame. Famous people were "recruited" similarly to how Hezbolah utilized Lebanon for the advancement of an objective not well understood or disclosed. Hezbolah buys houses for people and Scientologist give education help for special education needs.
Note: Science fiction novels to compete with Hubbard's understanding as well as a great source of philosophical understanding of where we are and where we are going. See Dickenson's Dorsai, and Asimov's Foundation. Two great books that go great together.
Barbara added at the meeting that science seeks to find answers for the questions whereas spirituality and religion are the answers to questions. Maybe she will contribute more details on the differences.
So this is just an attempt at trying to understand something that I am interested in. We are all existing in a world where information is the latest and greatest.
And therefore I close with a reinstatement of full disclosure: I am interested in where we are going as a society and that the path we chose to take is mutually agreed upon before setting out. It is of most importance to first better understand where we are now and where we are coming from, our needs, our desires, our dreams, and then to begin deciding how to achieve these goals. It truly is the trip, not always the destination that is what we call life. So here's to life and love and happiness. May we all be aware of it in and around us, in others and with others.
